The Outram quote is indeed a belter. Regarding architects on drugs: Jonathan Meades' programme about Victorian Britain makes the case that laudanum and stage three syphilis played a large role in the aesthetics of outlandish eclecticism.


So what happened to the BBC studio post the world cup? Did the BBC ever live up to the justification they used that it would be 'flat packed' and reused at other events? Or is it still there on the roof, or simply trashed?
